Trustee Vacancies

Are you passionate about Dog Meat Trade Dachshund Rescue & Support Group and the positive impact it has on the dogs rescued from Asia? Are you committed to promoting animal welfare and raising awareness of the dog meat trade across Asia?
Our Charity is now looking for several dedicated Trustees to join our team to support animals who have survived the dog meat trade, kill shelters and breeding farms across Asia.
About the charity: The charity works with Animal organisations and shelters in China, South Korea, and Vietnam to identify and rescue dachshund and dachshund cross breeds from the dog meat trade, kill shelters and breeding facilities. Working to ensure the dogs receive the appropriate medical care, rehabilitation and are brought to the UK to checked, vetted, and experienced homes.
About You: As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and governance of the charity. As a member of the Board, you will work closely with the operational management team to make informed decisions, provide guidance, and contribute to the overall development and success of the charity. Your expertise, commitment, and passion will help us continue to rescue and rehabilitate the dogs rescued from Asia.
Requirements:
· A genuine passion for the animal welfare and a general understanding of the animal welfare concerns across Asia (although training will be provided).
· Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, of trusteeship
· Ability to commit to approximately 5 hours per month for board meetings and additional tasks.
