
An opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated volunteer team, coordinating the transport of our precious rescue dachshunds. You will play a key part in ensuring their safe transport from China/Korea to their forever homes in the UK.
Role Title: Transport Coordinator
Reporting To: Transport Lead/Charity Manager/Trustee Board
Location: Remote
Approx hours per week: 5 (please note this is not every week and we average 2 flights per month)
Role Type: Voluntary
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange and coordinate transport for our rescue dogs once they are cleared to fly.
Liaise with international transport partners regarding scheduled flights and logistics.
Verify and ensure all paperwork for UK entry is accurate and up-to-date.
Coordinate pick-up points and maintain smooth communication with our adoption and fostering teams.
Organise transport from Heathrow Airport to drop-off destinations.
Monitor each flight, providing real-time updates to adopters.
Keep the charity community engaged by providing updates on social media before and during the flights.
Attending a monthly team meeting via MS Teams
Keeping in frequent contact with team members
Adhering to all charity policies and procedures.
Skills Needed:
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Familiarity with Excel, Teams, and email systems.
Dedication and commitment to our charity’s mission and a desire to be part of a dedicated team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Onboarding process: You will undergo a short interview to assess suitability for the role. The successful candidate will be required to sign a Non-disclosure agreement, a volunteer agreement and provide ID documentation to allow background checks to take place. On completion of suitable background checks you will then begin a trial period within the role.
